Serving at Lake Ridge
The body of Lake Ridge has a servant heart that seeks to fill needs that arise within our church.
There are many opportunities for serving others within our church.
Our Kids Ministry is for babies through 6th graders. There are several opportunities to serve our littles and elementary students throughout the year, whether you're interested in helping on a regular basis, seasonally, or occasionally.
During our 9:00 hour on Sunday mornings, we can use nursery workers, classroom teachers, and classroom helpers. Some of our teachers serve throughout the school year and take the summers off, so if you aren't able to commit to every other month, maybe one month during the summer is something you'd like to help with.
Kids Corner, for 1st through 4th graders, meets upstairs every Sunday morning except the first Sunday of the month (Family First Sunday) after the beginning portion of our worship service. We can use volunteer teachers and helpers during this time, usually serving for a month at a time.
Kingdom Kids is our Wednesday night program for 1st-6th graders during our spring and fall semesters. We have volunteers to lead in our boys' and girls' groups both regularly and for nights with special activities.
Special events, including our annual VBS, will be planned throughout the year, beginning in the spring of 2021.
All volunteers in our Kids Ministry must submit to a background check and complete Ministry Safe training.
Our Student Ministry is for students in grades 6-12. If you have a heart for junior high or high school students, we have a place for you! Our volunteers lead D Groups on Wednesday nights and occasionally fill in as teachers on Sunday mornings during our Sunday School hour. We also have several special events throughout the year that require hospitality or extra drivers. If this is somewhere you'd like to serve, contact Kyle Wisdom.
We are looking to grow our Worship Ministry Team! Do you play an instrument or sing? Do you have a flair for the dramatic? Or do you prefer to be on the tech side of things like operating a camera or working with A/V? Contact Jeremy Wilkerson and find a way to get involved!
